Privacy Policy
What we collect on this website, why, and the choices you have. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by TDB Communications, Inc. ("TDB," "we," "us"), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Washington, DC. TDB is the controller of the personal information collected through this site.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to www.tdbgov.us and any TDB web pages that link to it. It does not apply to the systems of the government agencies or partners TDB supports, to TDB's internal employee systems, or to third-party sites we link to (such as LinkedIn or our careers portal), each of which has its own privacy terms.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, we collect the information you enter: name, work email address, organization, phone number if you provide it, the topic you select, and the content of your message. Please don't send protected health information, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal data through the form.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure, keeps standard server logs that may include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and timestamps. We use these logs for security monitoring and to keep the site running. We do not combine them with the information you submit through the form.
Information from cookies
See section 4. Today this site sets one required cookie that records your consent choice. We do not currently run analytics or advertising tags on this site. If that changes, the banner and this policy will be updated first.
4. Cookies and your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks for your choices. "Accept All" allows every category below. "Required Only" allows only the cookies the site needs to work. "Manage preferences" lets you choose category by category. Closing the banner with the X is treated as "Required Only." You can change your choice at any time from the cookie icon in the lower-left corner of any page or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. Your choice is remembered for 180 days.
| Category | Purpose | Current use | Your control |
|---|---|---|---|
| Required | Remembers your consent choice and supports site security and basic function. Does not track you across sites. | In use (one cookie: tdb_consent_v1) | Always on; cannot be disabled |
| Analytics | Aggregate statistics about how visitors use the site so we can improve it. | Not currently in use | Off unless you turn it on |
| Marketing | Cookies set by advertising platforms to measure campaign performance. | Not currently in use | Off unless you turn it on |
Non-required scripts on this site are blocked from loading until the matching category has been allowed. If you select "Required Only," they do not run.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as "Required Only" and as a request not to sell or share your personal information.
5. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up on it.
- To send capability statements, references, or other materials you ask for.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use information collected on this site for targeted advertising.
6. How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, under contracts that limit their use of it: our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure), our email and productivity platform (Microsoft 365), and, if you contact us about careers, our applicant tracking provider (Paycom). We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights or safety of TDB or others, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not share your information with government clients unless you ask us to.
7. How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond and for up to three years afterward for business records, unless a longer period is required by law or contract. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days for security purposes. Your cookie consent record expires after 180 days.
8. How we protect it
TDB IT operates the security program that protects this site and the systems behind it, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access limited to staff who need it, and continuous monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send sensitive information through the contact form.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, or to object to certain uses. You can exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in section 13. We'll verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We don't discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.
You can also decline cookies at any time (section 4), and you can simply not use the contact form; our phone number is on every page.
10. Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Third-party links
Links to LinkedIn, our careers portal (Paycom), and other third-party sites are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review them.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we'll update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, note it in the consent banner. Continued use of the site after a change means you've seen the updated policy.
